China meets Austria
On 27th September 2011, Mr. Rainer Hassler, partner in-charge of audit, had a meeting with delegation of Shanghai National Accounting Institute (“SNAI”) in Vienna. The delegation of SNAI was composed of Mr. Xia Dawei, President of SNAI, Mr. Hu Fan, director of Ministry of Finance of China, and other four professors of SNAI. Mr. Hassler and the delegation exchanged their views regarding emerging new regulations for audit firms in EU, Europe debt financial crisis and continuing education of certified public accountants. In addition, both sides also discussed the prospect of cooperation between KPMG Austria and SNAI.
SNAI located in Shanghai. It was founded in September 2000, as part of the efforts of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council of China to improve the knowledge and abilities of Certified Public Accountants and senior financial managers. SNAI is a government-sponsored institution and affiliate of the Ministry of Finance of China.
